Abstract :
This paper studies the modeling and practical stability of a liquid tank. The liquid tank is treated as a discrete event system. Two approaches are considered, the first one is an expert system while the second one is based on a state/event philosophy. The model is obtained using Petri net theory and by means of Lyapunov methods stability is guaranteed. The proposed methodology shows to be simple
