Abstract :
In this paper, we propose an energy and storage efficient directed diffusion (ESEDD) scheme for wireless sensor networks, where the interest-associated nodes stores only neighbor nodes in the gradient direction to the sink, and when transmitting the data only the nodes which have the most energy will be chosen for next-hop forwarding. The simulation results have shown that the proposed scheme is more storage and globally energy efficient, and can largely prolong the lifetime of network.
