Abstract :
The radially laminated magnetic barrier rotor doubly excited brushless machine (RLMB-rotor DEBM) is a DEBM with a new type of rotor structure and is attractive for converter-fed variable-speed drive applications and variable-speed constant-frequency (VSCF) generating systems. In this paper, a prototype RLMB-rotor DEBM with 8 rotor pole numbers is designed and its performance is evaluated by finite element analysis and experimental method.
