Abstract :
How to provide reliable transmission over unreliable wireless sensor links meanwhile keep energy efficiency is an interest challenge. In this paper, a novel nodes cooperation strategy in network layer for energy-efficient reliable transmission over unreliable-links is studied. The energy efficiency of sensor networks and its optimization with new transmission strategy are analyzed theoretically. The key idea of the proposed strategy is using multi nodes to receive packets simultaneously and relay packets competitively. Further theoretical and experimental analysis gives us some insights on the improvements in reliable transmission and energy efficiency that cooperation can bring to networks.
