  • Abstract
    Communication system in microgrid is very important to microgrid operation. Except for meeting the demand of reliability, it should fulfill the characteristics of plug and play, dispersion in distributed devices, and the need of data information in controlling. A constraint set and a common communication platform are designed considering architecture and control of microgrid. In the process of designing platform, the IEC60870-5-104 protocol being successfully used in power system is used as reference besides the proposed constraint set. In this paper the architecture of EPA is established to meet the reliability requirements in communication. Meanwhile a common and extensible information structure is carried out based on the characteristics of microgrid´s control information. An example of application shows that this communication platform can be used well in the control system of microgrid and reduce the cost for devices connect.
