Abstract :
Rasmussen´s encephalitis (RE) is a rare but severe brain disorder of unknown origin with chronic inflammatory features. A particular challenge is the early recognition of the disease, before progressive loss of neurological functions is evident. The treatment is surrounded by uncertainty because there are few cases reported by the scientific community around the world. This work reports the use of the Oriented Dialog technique in the case of a 10-year-old boy with a RE diagnose. Results showed good perspectives for the used technique as an efficient resource for the RE treatment.
