Abstract :
In this paper, a simple model that represents a bundle of twisted-pair wires as an equivalent single-wire line is presented. The induced voltages due to an incident electromagnetic field are calculated by the proposed model using the finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method. The experiments using TEM (transverse electromagnetic) cell are also carried out to validate the simplified model. The simulated results show good agreement with the measured data
