Abstract :
Service workflow is a prevailing way to compose a set of software components through service related standards. Currently, service workflow language in industry emphasizes particularly on syntax expressions, i.e., to define the relationships among the tasks and the properties of each task formally. In the viewpoint of problem-solving, service workflow model can also be regarded as a special type of knowledge which can be retrieved and reused. In order to provide supports to workflow model search from a workflow model pool, the semantic model for service workflow and it´s query mechanism are discussed in the paper. The semantic model for service workflow is based on the concept of goal, which can be organized into a specialization tree. The framework together with the prototype is also illustrated.
