Implementation of Real Time DMB Encryption on PMP for Copyright Protection

As the diffusion rate of DMB (digital multimedia broadcasting) device increases, the protection of DMB contents copyright is gradually needed. In this paper, we implemented the real time encryption in the PMP (portable multimedia player) for the copyright protection. We propose that it encrypts stored contents using SEED algorithm when DMB contents are stored into the storage in the PMP. As experimental result, when we confirmed encryption in recorded contents in PMP, it did not replay in other devices. Also, when we confirmed encryption contents which stored by other devices, it did not replay in PMP. Proposed method was used in the fields of VOD or IPTV.
