We have constructed an interactive data retrieval system that provides a user with cooperative answering. Cooperative answering was achieved through intelligent data compression technology that was previously developed (J. Ozawa and K. Yamada, 1995). We outline the intelligent data compression technology and the data retrieval system configuration
