Abstract
An algorithm was developed which is based on a modified plant model with fraction delays. It includes a recursive extended least-squares parameter identifier and a generalized minimum-variance self-tuning controller with pole assignment, and it can be used for maintaining both steady-state and transient specifications. Results of computer simulation and animal experiments support the use of adaptive control for mean arterial pressure.<>
