Abstract :
Cardiovascular diseases (CD) are the leading cause of death in Venezuela [1]. Within the group of these diseases, ischemic are the most important ones; the most significant manifestation is an acute myocardial infarction (AMI) [2]. Therefore, as a solution to this problem, this research proposes and implements an evaluation methodology for a health care AMI service, based on medical processes analysis (evidence-based medicine) and proper technology suitable for these medical processes development. The high rates of CD mortality in Venezuela contrast with the industrialized countries situation where there has been a significant decline in mortality from these diseases. Health Care Attention and the used technology developed in recent years has helped with this reduction [3].
