  • Abstract
The visualization parameters (window, center, and filters) have great influence on the determination of linear dimensions of objects in computed tomography (CT). This is due to the spread of image contours (the density interface), which is from 1- to 6-mm wide. This is a significant source of errors in linear measurements, especially in small objects with high density gradient. A way of solving this problem by measuring from the denso-profile is proposed.<>
