Abstract :
Interstitial microwave phased-array applicators with extended heating regions and improved input impedance matching have been developed. The authors present two types of thin coaxial microwave antenna elements for such an applicator: a sleeve antenna and a helical slit antenna. The structures are illustrated, and their advantages and disadvantages are described briefly.<>
