OSOR.EU: An Open Source Sharing System for e-Government Solutions in the EU

This paper introduces the project of the Open Source Observatory and Repository for Public Administrations in Europe (OSOR.EU) and discusses several anticipated free, libre and open source software (FLOSS) projects in Europe. It explains the main reasons for creating OSOR.EU with examples, and describes the technical design and the financial budget of OSOR.EU. Furthermore, this paper presents implications about open source repositories for public administrations, which can be used for preparing similar projects like OSOR.EU in any country in the world.
