Abstract :
Two soft start methods - delay synchronizing rectification soft start method and two-phase soft start method are proposed to achieve soft start for bi-directional converter of double sources in stand-alone photovoltaic power system. Delay synchronizing rectification soft start method is simple but restricted, which is not feasible under light load conditions. Two-phase soft start method can avoid inverse inductor current by implementing soft start of both active switch and passive switch in a wide range of applications. Experimental results are finally given to verify the effectiveness and validity of the proposed soft start methods.
