Abstract :
The effect of titanium dioxide as a semiconductive additive and barium titanate as a highly polar additive on the DC transient currents in low-density polyethylene is investigated. Experiments were made using thick specimens under a high electric field (>25×106 V/m) and a constant temperature of 40°C. Results indicate that the incorporation of these additives has an effect on the DC transient currents in low-density polyethylene
