Abstract :
Coal transportation from Xinjiang to the hinterland china is a strategic program to ensure energy safety. As the most important mode of coal transportation, the railways should adapt itself to the gale weather especially in Xinjiang. New approaches to the optimization of yard longitudinal section design are based on evaluating the performance in respect of construction and operation. In gale weather the indexes of gradient and length of slope are especially essential as a variable in yard design in Xinjiang coal logistics. 4 models are established, combined with the major car types - C64 gondola car to calculate gradients and lengths of slope according to various wind speed under different operational conditions, which offers a recommendable solution for prevent gale damage of stopping cars in yards, especially economical and flexible in existing ones.
