Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine trends and transformations in the electronic commerce (EC) research after dot com crash of 2000. This paper reviewed 779 articles published from the nine journals that are appropriate outlets for EC research [E. W. T. Nga et al., 2002] during calendar years 2000 to 2006 and comparatively analyzed with the previous research [E. W. T. Nga et al., 2002]. The principal aspects of EC research are identified in four categories: application areas, technological issues, support and implementation, and others. Moreover, a unified model of electronic commerce was presented to explain the relations among the major three categories. We believe our findings to be valuable to the field of EC research with providing a source for anyone interested in EC research and helping simulate further interest.
