Abstract :
Summary form only given. It is well known that a grating (or plane-wave hologram) has a sine-function selectivity curve with nulls occurring at regular angular separation. When a beam is incident at one of the null angles, the intensity of the output diffracted beam is very small. This property has been used, for example, in hologram multiplexing to reduce the cross talk among different holograms.
