Abstract :
This paper concerns an experimental work an partial discharges in a needle to plane system submitted to AC voltage. After a characterisation of a discharge in this system, we give the effect of a dielectric plate on the mean characteristics of discharge. This plate reduces the discharge inception only for the small distance but has an important effect on the frequency of discharge
