Abstract
Development of single streamer is analysed on base of a 1.5-dimension model. Results of calculations, done for air and oxygen for short (1-3 cm) and infinite sphere-to-plane gap, show marked influence of gap length on the moment of streamer appearance, on its velocity, its length and particle density due to higher geometrical field in the short gap and influence of charges inducted in the plane. Streamer development is more intensive in a short gap in air than in O 2. Influence of the gap length on O formation in oxygen is analysed
