Abstract :
The relationship of reciprocity between travel demand and land use is an eternal focus for the development of a city. The Spatial-temporal feature of urban system decides the multidimensional feature of the reciprocity between these two issues. Exploring multidimensional-coupling relationship between travel demand and land use has of importance meaning to understanding and handling the trend and rule of transport development as well as formulating logical and rational urban transport development strategy. This assignment synthetically considers the features of urban land use and the Spatial-temporal feature of travel demand, along with the network features of several transport components. Case study is used in this assignment to find out the extent of association among different factors and the intensity of motivation towards coupling system via establishing coupling evaluation model and GIS spatial analysis technique, in order to present the general rule of Spatial-temporal coupling between urban travel demand and land use.
