Abstract :
Summary form only given. We discuss methods for the creation of synthesized holograms. Because each hologram in the memory contributes to many end-user data pages, the signal-to-noise ratio of the resulting system drops in a trade-off with the speed gained by using multiple lasers. Also, there is a trade-off between placing more holograms in the memory (needed to gain an adequate number to reconstruct all data pages) and the diminishing diffraction efficiency of each hologram when more are stored.
