Abstract :
The ANSI/IEEE standard for software test documentation calls for the production of a series of documents to verify that the testing process has been carried out properly and that the test objectives have been met. Without automated tool support the costs of such test documentation are prohibitive in all but the most trivial projects. The paper describes a test system which provides such a service. It begins with a test plan frame as a master class, from which the class test design is then derived. From it various test procedure classes are generated which serve to generate the individual objects -test cases specified in the form of pre- and post condition assertions to be executed in test suites
