Abstract :
In this paper the cross slot, which has been cut in rectangular waveguide with dielectric insertion of finite length, is considered and the expressions of internal admittance and scattering parameters of the slot are derived. In addition, the numerical analysis is presented and the conclusions are drawn. The study outcomes can be used in design of multi-slot antenna arrays with desirable electrodynamics features (e.g., scattering parameters, physical and electrical size and the like). Moreover, the results of the paper can be widely used in order to achieve more efficient irradiation of small dielectric samples with microwave field.
