Signal and image processing for crime control and crime prevention

In this paper we will take a critical look at the research and development of signal and image processing technologies and new applications of existing technologies to improve crime control and crime prevention. Signal and image processing techniques are used in many aspects of sensing the environment both during a crime and in the post-crime analysis of the scene.
