    Nowadays, oil and gas production is growing continuously, but the supply and demand gap has been formed and is constantly expanding. Many emerging economy countries including China will be forced to look at the other countries and regions with abundant resources. In the case of oil development upsurge, it is an opportunity for Chinese oil companies to participate in. Due to the traditional friendship, established strategic partnership, and other advantages such as geopolitics, Chinese oil companies can favorably launch the cooperative development in Eurasia region. But it still has a lot of difficulties which is caused by Soviet host government contract (hereafter called HGC ) mode. In this paper, the urgency and actual situation of Chinese oil companies´ cooperative development will be discussed, the advantages and special issue- Soviet HGC mode in Eurasia region, key factor influencing investment, be analyzed, and the correct attitude and strategy for Chinese oil companies be put forward.
