Abstract :
It was only recently that the problem of automatic human face recognition using iterated function systems was explored. If was shown that a comparatively high recognition rate was achieved using this method on the Olivetti Research Laboratory face database. In this paper, we present an analysis of the effects of the contractivity factor of this method on the distance measure used for recognition, which ultimately affects the recognition rate
