In this paper, we described a new optimization technique of a high voltage electrode contour to make the electrical insulation performance highest. We introduced V-t characteristics based on the volume-time theory into the optimization technique. Using examples, we investigated the optimization technique from the viewpoints of the calculation efficiency and accuracy
