  • Abstract
The efficiency and quality of the construction of the learning material system are the key factors which restrict the development of distance learning. The whole courseware is the basic location, which is prevailing in the most distance learning institutes. However, this caused many problems which include the common redundancy, the overlapped and not successive construction of the learning materials. Whatiquests more, this kind of system is hardly adaptive to the diversity of the learning objectives and teaching methodologies. Therefore, the paper cooperated the practice in e-Dufe (the distance education College of Dongbei University of Finance and Economics) into the relevant research and advanced the MFO(Material-Framework-Objective)system model, which resolved the conundrums of learning material management in the distance education by separating and recombining the basic materials, courseware, knowledge-points and learning goals. And also the MFO system model achieved the unification of the reuse, mobility and pertinence of the learning materials. Up to now, this systematical model had been developed and taken into practice, and the effectiveness is expected to be very good. And now we are under the research and development of the second process of upgrade.
