Abstract :
View direction is meaningful information for understanding the person´s will. For this reason many researches have been done to utilize eye-gaze as a certain input signal to the computer. The methods of detecting view direction are divided into two groups. The one uses a specialized hardware device including an infrared as a light source and the other uses image data. In this paper we describe how the view direction is measured with a single camera and how its information is used for an environment control device and a safely driving support system.
