Influence of tropical monsoon and local wind circulation to lightning discharge over Indonesia

Monsoon and local wind circulation have a significant effect on the lightning discharge characteristics in tropical area especially in coastal and mountainous areas of the West Jawa region in Indonesia. Lightning characteristics derived from local measurements and lightning data recorded by the Indonesia lightning location system in the region of Mnt. Tangkuban Perahu were compared and evaluated.
