Abstract :
The optical field distribution of buried polymeric waveguides, fabricated by using injection molded substrates, are calculated by numerical techniques. The refractive index profiles measured by the refracted near field (RNF) technique are directly used to calculate the field distribution of polymeric waveguides. A comparative study of the refractive index profiles based on modeled and numerical values are discussed
