Abstract :
Proposes a new concept model, called “RoboCam”, of a video camera which can automatically shoot without a camera man. RoboCam has not only the ability of automatic object tracking but also various talents for entertainment such as “Hit-and-Drop” and “Slalom”. RoboCam consists of five blocks: (1) a video camera block; (2) an object recognition block; (3) a pan-tilt and two-wheel-drive mechanism with six sensors for fall avoidance; (4) an infrared video signal transmitter; and (5) a system control block using fuzzy logic. This paper focuses on the system control block to harmonize both panning and wheel motors, smoothly following the movement of the object
