Abstract
Interest in the electrical properties of biological substances, on both the fundamental biophysical and the applied levels, is discussed. Applications include the elucidation of the interaction of electromagnetic fields with biological systems and medical diagnosis and therapy. An overview is given of measurement techniques and instrumentation. Current techniques and results obtained in vivo are emphasized. Future research directions are indicated
