Abstract :
This paper proposes a novel preamble structure and a synchronization method based on central-symmetric sequence for OFDM systems. The preamble structure can be easily constructed in frequency domain and is spectrum efficient which can afford time and frequency synchronization, channel estimation, SNR estimation. And a new timing estimator is also proposed according to the preamble structure, which combined the merits of delayed and symmetric correlation based methods. The proposed timing estimator can well suppress interferences and get better timing performance. Compared to the typical Park´s method, proposed method is super in low SNR environment and almost the same in high SNR environment.
