Abstract :
In order to sustain its global competitiveness, soft technology advancement in product design and development, international marketing, global supply chain management, manufacturing and quality are recommended. Whilst pursuing hard technology advancement as its long term manufacturing strategy, Hong Kong should also upgrade its middleman role via soft technology advancement in the short and medium terms. Hong Kong should migrate from mainly original equipment manufacturing (OEM) to original design manufacturing (ODM) and finally to develop its own brand manufacturing (OBM) by enhancing its marketing and new product design and development strategies and practices. e-agile enterprising is proposed in this paper as the new form of manufacturing and marketing strategies and organizational structure for fulfilling this purpose
