Abstract :
Summary form only given. We report on photorefractive polymer dispersed liquid crystals (PDLCs) doped with the liquid crystal TL202. In samples with composition PMMA:TL202:ECZ:TNFDM (42:40:17:1 wt.%) [where TNFDM stands for (2,4,7-trinitro-9fluorenylidene)malonitrile], we achieved an external diffraction efficiency of 55% at 633 nm in 53-/spl mu/m-thick samples at an applied field of 20 V//spl mu/m for a grating spacing of 3 /spl mu/m.
