Abstract :
We present a multiuser detection scheme to increase the capacity of generic TDMA mobile systems. This scheme allows two users to occupy the same time slot for up-link transmission. At the base station, we employ spatial diversity reception and a T/2-spaced filterbank structure to implement an MIMO DFE receiver which is optimized under the minimum mean square error (MMSE) criterion. Through computer simulation, it is shown that as the number of antennas increases, the performance for both users can be improved significantly. Other issues like training sequence design and power control are also addressed
