Abstract :
This paper studies the effect of multiple access interference (MAI) on the performance of coded FHSS systems. This is achieved by modelling the physical channel in these networks as a block fading channel with the hopping rate as a network parameter. From this, error performance of convolutionally coded FHSS systems is derived by finding the exact interference statistics and averaging over it.
