Abstract :
An improved multiplication free adaptive digital filter (IMADF) algorithm is proposed to reduce intersymbol interference (ISI) occurring in the data transmission channel. This algorithm is useful when the correlation of the input signal is high and compared with the multiplication adaptive digital filter (MADF) with its characteristics through convergence analysis. We implement a fractionally spaced equalizer (FSE) using this algorithm
