Abstract :
This work aims to analyze the performance of three enhanced uplink (EUL) schemes for uplink expansion in third generation (3G) wideband CDMA systems. By means of computational simulations the throughput increase was investigated for Node-B controlled hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) mechanisms and multi-user detection (MUD) schemes, besides the delay reduction combining HARQ schemes and shorter TTI (transmission time interval) size. The results show that throughput can be increased by 21% to 74%, depending on the applied technique and the mobility scenario
