Abstract :
Many efforts have been applied to develop high-power fiber lasers pumped by laser diode. To understand better the absorption characteristics in the disc fiber laser and to optimize the pumping condition, we performed a numerical analysis using the ray-tracing method for propagation of the pump beam within the disc.
