Abstract :
With the rapid development of supply chain management and information technology, logistic enterprises in China, currently facing market competition that is ever fiercer, are urged to gain the sustained competitive advantage by practicing innovation. Compared with the perspective of traditional research, which tends to focus on innovation in technology, management and service, the Thesis combines the "Theory of Product Life Cycle" with the "Theory of Innovation", and provides readers with a systematic understanding of "innovation". In the Thesis, we define "the sustained innovation system in logistic enterprises" with connotation, and create a model for the sustained innovation system based on the "Theory of Product Life Cycle". A detailed and systematic explanation is further provided regarding how the sustained innovation system is composed, its implementation path and inter-relations between different development stages. Aided by the Model, we finally draw the conclusion that the logistic service industry in China is currently in the Growth Stage. In addition, we analyze the implementation paths and strategies concerning product innovation, disruptive innovation and demand-pulled innovation, with the aim to provide theoretical and strategic support to logistic enterprises in sustained innovation practice.
