Title :
Artificial Vortex (ArVo) power generation — An innovative micro hydroelectric power generation scheme

Abstract :
Artificial Vortex (ArVo) power generation utilizes the natural tendency of whirlpool formation of fluids by defining a new flow-path thereby causing a turbulent circular movement of fluid layers. A vertical axis turbine is designed and developed so as to replicate the fluid motion while causing minimum disturbance to the artificially induced vortex or whirlpool. In other words, in ArVo power generation the kinetic energy of flowing water is concentrated using a powerful Gravitation Water Vortex in a rotation tank (ArVo tank). This kinetic energy is focused as rotation energy to the turbine in the centre of the water vortex. The turbine converts the rotation energy of the water vortex together with a generator to green electricity.
