Abstract :
We have fabricated high-quality, transparent Nd:YAG ceramics. The physical properties and the scattering loss of Nd:YAG ceramics were almost equivalent to those of a Nd:YAG single crystal. We demonstrated three times higher laser output power in Nd:YAG ceramics compared with conventional Nd:YAG single crystals.
