Abstract :
For Maglev vehicles the authors propose the construction of an on-board power supply system using a DC intermediate circuit, and a three-phase pulse width modulation power converter instead of a normal rectifier so that the power factor of the AC power may be maximized (pf=1). They constructed a system using a feedforward control method-based PWM power converter to cope with the fluctuation of induced voltage caused by the running vehicle´s movement. They also proved stable control of this type of PWM power converter in a laboratory test.<>
