Abstract :
Blood vein disease is one of the diseases that can cause death. An early check up on the blood vein is expected to reduce the mortality index. One method of non-invasive checking that is still being developed is a diagnostic technique using ultrasonic Doppler waves. The instrument that is designed and realized in this research is based on the digital signal processor 56002, that can help the doctor in analyzing abnormality of the patient blood vein. The instrument uses double ultrasonic transducers that work at a frequency of 3.5 MHz. The transducer output is processed by an analog and digital system to obtain the Doppler spectrum and Doppler sonogram. These graphical data are then processed by computer to obtain functional information about the blood vein condition. The instrument can measure flow velocity from 1 mm/s to 100 cm/s, with power intensity 13.4 mW/cm2, with an allowed exposure time not exceeding 3731 seconds. The results obtained are checked from Doppler sound at the loudspeaker, direction and magnitude of blood flow velocity at the liquid crystal display and sonogram graphic at the computer monitor. This instrument has been realized by fulfilling safety criteria from AIUM; it can be used for diagnostics of several abnormalities of the human blood vein
