Abstract
In this study, a user selection algorithm aiming to optimize the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) is proposed for MIMO BC systems. After setting a threshold value, only users whose channel gains are above the set threshold are considered. While achieving the full multiplex gain, this method can get a desirable sum capacity and BER performance. Compared with the exhaustive search scheme, the system overheads, such as the amount of feedback and the number of selection in the base station, decrease evidently.
